My name is Sharilyn Carpenter and I am a 2nd grade teacher at Bundy Canyon Christian School. I have been teaching at Bundy for 21 years. The school opened in 1981 and what attracted me to the school were the people that ran the school and the fact that it had a very friendly farm like atmosphere as well as teaching God's Word to the children.
     I would like to say some about one of the teachers at Bundy, her name is Olivia Najara. Olivia has been teaching at Bundy for 11 years. I met Olivia 20 years ago at our church at Bundy. Olivia is a wonderful person and a great teacher. She has a loving caring personality for everyone, especially the students. She is a very thorough teacher, she makes sure she covers all of the material and makes it fun for children at the same time. Olivia is a very good friend of mine we have had fun and sad times together but she is always there for everyone.
     I have worked by Olivia when our rooms were next to each other both of us taught in pre-school and Kindergarten. She is someone that is a pleasure to work with as well as being a very good friend.
     I think if parents want their children to get a good education and be grounded in the word of God, Bundy would be my choice for any child of mine. My son attended Bundy from Kindergarten through the 12th grade, after he graduated from Bundy he joined the U.S. Marine Corp for 7 years before coming out and getting a job. We have had many secular teachers enroll their children at Bundy over the years because they wanted the type of education that was being provided at Bundy Canyon.
